"At Escape, we've been using Quartus II software and Cyclone FPGAs to build leading-edge signal processing products at ASIC-killer prices. Quartus II is a well-integrated tool that yields impressive synthesis results, and the floorplan design and place-and-route tools consistently allow us to reach greater than 90 percent utilization while meeting challenging timing constraints. We have come to rely on the detailed Resource Usage Summary in the Quartus II software to rapidly identify portions of our designs requiring further attention. While the Quartus II software makes this critical information easily available with a single step, other programmable logic tools require multiple compilation iterations to extract it.
