Overview
A design services company with offices in San Diego, Boston, Irvine, and Calgary, Octera is staffed by industry veterans who average more than 20 years design experience in ASIC, FPGA, and systems. Octera is ITAR-certified for military designs and offers the following services:

Octera’s focus is on detailed project definition leading to a full specification document, statement of work, project schedule, and staffing plan before design commences. This allows Octera to complete designs to agreed cost and schedule targets. Octera has a track history of right-the-first-time silicon in over 1,000 design projects, ranging from CPLDs to 10 million+ gate ASICs.
Octera also provides a specification template for customer use, specifically targeted to Altera® FPGAs and HardCopy® series structured ASICs. Using this document, customers can develop a detailed specification internally, while consulting with one of Octera's senior engineers.
Octera’s engineers have worked with a wide range of technologies, but have particular expertise in serializer/deserializer (SERDES) technology, bus standards (such as PCI, PCI-X ,and PCI Express), high-speed networking, and telecom designs. They have also worked extensively with all industry-standard processors and have a great deal of expertise with Altera’s Nios® embedded processors.
