MJL HardCopy Stratix Prototyping Kit
The MJL HardCopy Stratix™ Prototyping Kit provides a platform for prototyping designs for high-volume, high-performance applications. Once the design has been verified in hardware for functionality using this kit, the designs can be directly migrated to HardCopy Stratix devices. Figure 1 shows the MJL HardCopy Stratix Prototyping Kit.

HardCopy Stratix Prototyping Kit Contents
The MJL HardCopy Stratix Prototyping Kit includes the following:
- HardCopy Stratix prototyping board, featuring:
- Stratix EP1S25 FPGA
- 4 Mbytes (4 Mbits x 8 bit / 2 Mbits x 16 bit) of flash memory (can be pre-ordered with 8 to 32 Mbytes of SDRAM)
- 8 Mbytes of SDRAM (512K x 32 x 4 memory banks) (can be pre-ordered with 8 to 32 Mbytes of SDRAM)
- 256 Kbytes of SRAM (in two 64K x 16-bit chips)
- On-board logic for configuring the Stratix FPGA from flash memory
- 3.3-V expansion/prototype headers (access to 40 user I/O pins)
- 5-V-tolerant expansion/prototype headers (access to 40 user I/O pins)
- One RS-232 serial connector
- One SL811HS embedded USB host/slave controller
- Keyboard and mouse port
- VGA port
- HardCopy Stratix technical documentation including data sheets and application notes
- Quartus® II design software with support for HardCopy Stratix design flow (one-year license)
- SOPC Builder system development tool
- Software, drivers & application examples on installation CD-ROM
- Cable & accessories, including:
- ByteBlaster™parallel download cable
- 9-V power supply
- International power cords (US, Japan, UK & Europe)
- Serial connector (RS-232 DB9 port)
- Ethernet (RJ45) cable
