PCI-X SYS - DAQ/Processing & Prototyping/Development PCI-X/PCI Board
PLDApplications PCI-X SYS board features an Altera® Stratix™ device that is the single point of acquisition and processing on the board. All of the data flow goes through the Altera device, allowing maximum speed for all application processes, including data acquisition, parallel (multi-channel) processing, and PCI-X transfers up to 64-bit/133 MHz.
The software provided with the board includes drivers and a programming API (DLLs) for Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000; Solaris, and others. Programmers can use the software with industry standards or proprietary data and image capture products (e.g., LABVIEW from National Instruments).
The PCI-X interface core is fully parameterizable and can be used in any application that requires interfacing based on the PCI-X/PCI protocol. The core handles all of the required features for the bus standard. It supports and provides some unique features such as multi-function, multi-direct memory access (DMA), embedded memory controllers, and more.
As a parameterized function, most of the core capabilities can be enabled or disabled depending on design requirements, so silicon usage and performance are optimized. The core supports full-speed, zero wait-states, and burst transfers in both slave and master operation.
