Board Design Entry

OrCAD Capture CIS

OrCAD Capture design entry is the world’s leading design entry tool. Its easy-to-use graphical user interface allows you to complete your design and verification process quickly and efficiently. OrCAD Capture CIS option is designed to work with a Component Information System that can reduce the time spent searching for part and part information. With the CIS option, designers also have the option of downloading and requesting symbol and part information online at www.activeparts.com.

Allegro Design Entry HDL

Allegro Design Entry HDL offers a schematic design entry and analysis environment that is well integrated with mixed signal simulation and board layout solutions. When coupled with Allegro Constraint Manager, it expedites the communication of high-speed design requirements between engineers and CAD designers. It also works seamlessly with NC-Verilog digital and NC-VHDL for HDL-based verification solutions and Allegro AMS Simulator 210 for analog simulations.

PCB Layout

OrCAD PCB Editor

OrCAD PCB Editor is a part of the OrCAD PCB Designer suite of tools that offers a complete, scalable, and cost-effective solution for the design of complex PCBs. OrCAD PCB Editor is a constraint-driven PCB layout editing tool derived from Cadence Allegro PCB Editor. The suite includes other popular technologies, including OrCAD Capture, SPECCTRA for OrCAD, and PSpice A/D.

OrCAD Layout

OrCAD Layout offers easy-to-use and intuitive user interface, allowing designers to edit PCB layouts and streamline the entire board design process with effective inter-tool communication. OrCAD Layout is ideal for individuals and small to medium design teams creating PCBs from prototype to production. OrCAD Layout can import data from mechanical CAD systems like Pro/Engineer, SDRC, CATIA and other industry-standard interfaces.

Board Verification

OrCAD Signal Explorer

OrCAD Signal Explorer allows designers to address signal integrity (SI) issues from the very beginning of the design cycle through placement and final routing. It provides an effective method to explore topologies and models with manufacturing tolerances. OrCAD Signal explorer is tightly integrated with the OrCAD PCB Designer suite of tools and provides an easy upgrade path to the Cadence Allegro PCB SI series of tools.

PSpice A/D

PSpice A/D is a mature, proven, advanced native mixed-signal simulator. It is used to simulate complex mixed-signal designs, containing analog and digital parts and supports models such as IGBTs, PWMs, DACs and ADCs. PSpice provides a complete simulation environment including simulation, waveform analysis with cross probing, and bias results display on the schematic. When combined with the optional Advanced Analysis package, PSpice can predict, improve, optimize and fine tune your circuit designs.

Timing Analysis Timing Designer TimingDesigner is a flexible, interactive timing analysis and diagram tool. Its intuitive use of timing diagrams and patented spreadsheet technology allow users to model their unique timing challenges, analyze a range of conditions, obtain accurate results, as well as monitor and manage timing margins throughout the design process. It also simplifies the exchange of critical timing information among project teams, enabling users to better manage specification and analysis of high-performance interfaces for their digital IC and board designs.
Consulting Services

RoHS Compliance Services

EMA offers a unique approach to solve the RoHS compliance problem, and it is called “Lead-Free by Design."TM This design methodology incorporates data from PartMiner CAP database into schematic design tool, OrCAD Capture CIS. The Component Information System (CIS) contains component data, including RoHS information that shows high-level compliance indications and detailed parametric values. This allows designers to see the part information and RoHS compliance data while selecting parts in the schematic tool. Using this design process, an engineer can determine whether parts used in the design are compliant, thus solving the problem in the design phase.
