Altera Design Software Operating System Support
Altera’s Quartus® II and MAX+PLUS® II software are currently available for the operating systems (OSs) shown in Table 1.

Support for these OSs was discontinued in Quartus II software version 3.0. Altera customer applications will provide support through 2003 for customers using previous versions of Quartus II software on these OSs.

Quartus II software version 4.1 and supporting service pack(s) will be the last releases to include support for Solaris 2.7/7. Altera customer applications will provide support through 2005 for customers using Quartus II software version 4.1 or earlier on Solaris 2.7/7.

Support for Red Hat Linux 7.1 and 7.2 was discontinued in the Quartus II software version 4.0. Altera customer applications will provide support through 2004 for customers using previous versions of the Quartus II software on these OSs.
The Quartus II software is available for sale as part of the Altera Subscription Program. The Altera Subscription Program web pageshows which products are best suited for various design environments.
