Mercury Device Passive Parallel Asynchronous Configuration
Passive Parallel Asynchronous Configuration
A passive parallel asynchronous (PPA) configuration can be performed by using an intelligent host, such as a microprocessor. During PPA configuration, data is transferred from a storage device, such as a configuration device or flash memory, to the MercuryTM device on the DATA[7..0] pins. This configuration scheme is asynchronous, so control signals regulate the configuration cycle.
