To download and uncompress all files (Quartus II, MegaCore
IP Library, Nios II, and ModelSim) requires 4 Gbytes of free disk space.
Installation requires an additional 5 Gbytes of disk space. You can delete
the 4 Gbytes of download and uncompressed files from your hard drive after
installation is complete.
Note:
Beginning with version 5.1, the Quartus II Web Edition software no longer supports Windows NT.
Important Critical Issue Notice for all Quartus II software version 6.1 users using one or more instances of the ALTMEMPHY megafunction or the DDR/DDR2 high performance controller MegaCore function.

The Quartus II Web Edition software includes support for selected MAX® II,
Cyclone® II, Cyclone, Stratix® II, Stratix, APEX™ II,
APEX 20KE, ACEX®, Excalibur™, FLEX® 10KE, FLEX 10K®,
FLEX 10KA, FLEX 6000, MAX 7000S, MAX 7000B, MAX 7000AE, and MAX 3000A
devices.
Synthesis Support
If the design includes VHDL or Verilog code, you can use third-party
synthesis software from Mentor Graphics, Synopsys, or Synplicity or the
integrated VHDL and Verilog synthesis included in the Quartus II Web Edition
software.
