Files that contain timing requirements for a HardCopy design. You can use the HardCopy Files wizard to generate these files from timing requirement information in the design you are using for a HardCopy device. The design the Quartus II software uses to generate HardCopy files can target a HardCopy Stratix device or one of the a HardCopy APEX device.
The HardCopy files also contain project-wide, HardCopy-specific timing requirements. These timing requirements, which you can specify using the Quartus II software, are not available for non-HardCopy, Quartus II designs, but are necessary for creating HardCopy files.
The HardCopy files that the Quartus II software generates and places in the \<current project>\hardcopy directory include the following:
- <current project name>_pt_hcpy_v.tcl
- <current project name>_rba_pt_hcpy_v.tcl
- <current project name>_cpld.datasheet
- <current project name>_target.datasheet
- <current project name>_hcpy.vo
- <current project name>_hcpy_v.sdo
After generating the HardCopy files, the HardCopy Files wizard archives the files in the Quartus II Archive File (.qar) that Altera uses when converting a design for a HardCopy device or implementing a HardCopy Stratix design in a HardCopy Stratix device.
