Perform Resynthesis with the PALACE Software
To perform resynthesis with with the ADT PALACE software from within the Quartus II software:
If you have not already done so, perform 1. Set Up the PALACE Working Environment.
Create a new project or open an existing project.
Specify EDA tool settings in the Quartus II software.
To start the PALACE software and perform resynthesis, choose Start > Start EDA Resynthesis. The Quartus II software runs analysis and synthesis, the Fitter, and the EDA Netlist Writer, and then launches the PALACE software, which performs resynthesis on the design. The PALACE software generates an optimized <design name>_adt.vqm VQM File in the /<project directory>/resynthesis/adt directory, which is then compiled by the Quartus II software in the background.

When the Quartus II software compiles the optimized design, it displays the System tab of the Messages window. To view the status of the compilation, click the Processing tab. |
To view the optimized design in the Quartus II software:
Close the current project.
Open the project in the /<project directory>/resynthesis/adt directory.
Choose Compilation Report (Processing menu).
To compare the resynthesized project with the original project, open the project in the original project directory.
