Generating EDIF Netlist Files with the LeonardoSpectrum Software

To generate EDIF netlist files in the Mentor Graphics LeonardoSpectrum software for use with the Quartus II software:

1. If you have not already done so, assign design constraints with the LeonardoSpectrum software.

2. Click the Output tab.

3. Type or browse to locate the appropriate path and file name for the output file in the Filename box.

4. If necessary, select other appropriate output settings.

5. Click Run Flow.

6. In the Quartus II software, specify EDA tool settings. Make sure that, in the Design Entry and Synthesis page of the Settings dialog box, you select the LeonardoSpectrum design entry tool and in the Tool name list, and make sure that you have turned on Run this tool automatically to synthesize the current design.

7. Compile the design in the Quartus II software.

8. To continue with the LeonardoSpectrum design flow, analyze and optimizing design results with the LeonardoSpectrum software.
